TKP 3501 Planning Studio: Regional Analysis (5 credits)
This course will provide the students the knowledge and ability to identify, sensing, understanding, and considerate related to problems and issues in regional scale such as spatial elements, regional spatial fabric, and spatial character. In this studio, the ability that will be provided were map digitizing, ability to using planning software (ArcView, SPSS, MapInfo, SketchUp, and other related stuff), map and data interpretation (qualitative and quantitative), cartography, and survey in regional scale.
Course Learning outcomes:
- Able to evaluate regional planning documents against modified planning standards and attributes
- Able to identify regional development issues, problems, and potentials
- Able to articulate regional development issues, problems, and potentials to develop regional profile
- Able to perform effective teamwork
- Able to effectively facilitate stakeholders ideas into planning process

TKP 3502 Methods and Techniques for Regional Planning (3 credits)
This course introduces students with various methods & techniques of regional and local analysis and planning, as well as their use (including advantages and consequences) for regional planning. Students are taught to select an appropriate method and/or techniques for specific contexts and to modify it if needed.

TKP 3503 Regional Economics (2 credits)
This course will provide the students ability to understanding and the knowledge of the basic principles of economics and regional economies, as well as regional economic theories in the context of regional planning such as the concept and analysis of regional income, the theory of regional growth, the determinants of regional development, the basic principles and theories of modern inter-regional trade, problems in development regional economies, and the public sector in regional economic development.

TKP 3505 Community Development (2 credits)
This course introduces students with the history, theory, and methods of community development. Topics are tough in this course mainly about the community’s problems in Indonesia, especially poverty. Students are asked to find out the community problems and to formulate their profile. Then, students also asked to discuss and evaluate the implementation of community development programs.

This course introduces students with the classification of variables, probability theory, normal curve, the use of descriptive and inferential statistics (uni-, bi-, and multi-variate), and also the use of statistical analysis methods in urban and regional planning.

TKP 3507 Planning Law (2 credits)
This course introduces students with the principles of planning law and the system & hierarchy of regulations in Indonesia (related to urban and regional planning). Then, in small groups, students are asked to conduct a small research on development and planning law deviation in Indonesia. Using the same case, each group are also asked to formulate a solution for the deviation or problems they found.

- Able to explain the principles of planning law
- Able to explain the system and hierarchy of regulations in Indonesia related to urban and regional planning.
- Able to discuss development deviation and challenges in planning policies & regulations
