Student activities are actively developed to channel students’ interests and talents, both in academic and non-academic fields. As a balance to academic activities, students can actively participate in various activities such as the Student Association of Regional and Urban Planning Engineering (HMT PWK Gelora Gantari), which helps enhance individual leadership. The association consists of a Core Management, Supervisory Board (BPH), and 9 divisions of HMT PWK, namely:

Division of Human Resource Development (PSDM)
The Division of Human Resource Development aims to develop the potential and abilities of members through various programs and activities, contributing maximally both within and outside the organization. Its management structure consists of 14 members, including 1 head of division, 3 sub-division heads, 2 secretaries-treasurers, and 8 other members divided into three sub-divisions: mentoring and guidance, communication and appreciation, and creative works.
Division of Public Relations
The Division of Public Relations acts as a bridge between the Student Association of Regional and Urban Planning Engineering and external as well as internal students. This division is responsible for external relations, such as communication and delegations for events, and internal relations by managing databases and organizing development classes to provide new insights for students.
Division of Student Advocacy and Welfare
The Division of Student Advocacy and Welfare focuses on advocacy and addressing issues, collecting and conveying student aspirations to the study program and department, disseminating valid and interactive information, and harmonizing communication and synergy for the welfare of all elements within the campus environment, particularly in the Regional and Urban Planning Study Program, Department of Architecture and Planning, Faculty of Engineering, UGM.
Division of Business Creation
The Division of Business Creation operates in independent and creative business ventures, aiming to enhance students’ potential in business and entrepreneurship, aligned with the Regional and Urban Planning study program. Activities include independent or collaborative business ventures marketed online or offline and business potential development training related to the study program.
Division of Media and Information
This division serves as an information platform for PWK students, distributed via HMT PWK’s social media such as Instagram, Twitter, and the website. It consists of three sub-divisions: media, creative, and website management. Responsibilities include managing social media, creating grand designs for the association, festive postings, and managing the website as a source of organizational information.
Division of Household Management
The Division of Household Management is responsible for maintaining the familial dynamics within the association and managing the inventory of the Student Association of Regional and Urban Planning Engineering. It comprises 13 members, including the head of division, secretary, treasurer, and staff members.
Division of Research and Science
This division focuses on science, research, and documentation, particularly in regional and urban planning. It aims to enhance research skills and scientific knowledge through activities and programs designed to foster interest and ability in research. The division consists of 15 members, including 6 expert staff and 9 junior staff.
Division of Community Service
The Division of Community Service seeks to develop students’ potential and knowledge in social and community activities to contribute to societal well-being. It has three sub-divisions: Service, Development, and Partnerships.
Division of Interests and Talents
The Division of Interests and Talents focuses on identifying, developing, and utilizing individual potential, especially in sports and arts. It has three sub-divisions: Sports, Arts, and External Affairs.
Supervisory Board of the Association (BPH)
The Supervisory Board functions as the advisory and oversight body for the daily management and activities of HMT PWK. Its structure includes the Chairperson, Secretary-Treasurer, and four commissions tasked with supervising the divisions under daily management. The main duty of the Supervisory Board is to monitor and ensure that all planned activities are executed according to schedule and achieve the intended goals.
Supreme Planner
Supreme Planner is a supporter base owned by the Regional and Urban Planning program at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Its main function is to support students participating in events such as sports and arts weeks and to celebrate student graduations. Supreme Planner serves as a hub for students involved in these activities.
FESTAGAMA
The Gadjah Mada City Festival (FESTAGAMA) is an annual national event organized by the Department of Architecture and Planning, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The festival addresses urban issues through activities such as seminars, exhibitions, competitions, and other events. Its goal is to inspire public interest in city history and encourage contributions to planning better urban futures.
Young Planner Training (PPM)
The Young Planner Training program introduces new PWK students to academic and non-academic environments within the study program. New students learn planning-related terms such as field lectures, surveys, mapping, data analysis, and displays. This training aims to help new students adapt to and understand the academic world they will face, enhancing their knowledge and skills as future planners.
